What you may not have known about mango

On the surface it plays with colors from green to red. Inside it is deep yellow, juicy and intoxicatingly sweet. Mango is a tropical fruit from the foothills of the Himalayas and in India it is the national fruit. Buddhists even consider it sacred. Buddha is said to have been given a Mango orchard to find eternal peace in there. The older the Mango tree is the more fruit it bears and it can grow up to 30 meters high for up to 300 years. In Asia, it is a symbol of love and fertility. In Europe, it is a relatively new fruit, having only arrived here at the beginning of the 16th century thanks to Portuguese traders. And it was them who named this fruit with the large stone – a Mango.

For the preparation of homemade lemonades, dilute preferably with good quality water in a ratio of 1:10.

Ingredients: sugar, mango juice concentrate (10 %), mango pulp (10 %), water. Acidity regulator: citric acid, concentrate of carrot and pumpkin. Preservative: potassium sorbate, flavouring.

Store in a cool and dark place. The fruit extracts may sediment, any cloudiness or foam is not detrimental and enhances the natural character of the product. Shake before use. Once opened, refrigerate and consume within 30 days. Packed in a protective atmosphere.

The product contains in 100 ml: energy 1411 kJ/332 kcal, fat < 0,5 g, of which saturates < 0,1 g, carbohydrates 83 g, of which sugars 83 g, protein < 0,5 g, salt < 0,01 g.
